The National Guild believes that organizations does not need a Creative
Communities grant to integrate arts education programming in public housing
- all that is needed to start are willing partners,
a program plan, space, start-up resources and access to training and technical
assistance. It is our goal to replicate Creative Communities strategies
across the country. Thus, The Consultants Corner is intended to be a resource
not only for the 20 Creative Communities partnership sites, but to the

Established in 1985, the AMICI Training Institute is the
only management training program that is specifically targeted to the
needs of community arts schools and to non-profit organizations considering
the development of arts education programs. The goal of the AMICI Institute
is to develop comprehensive leadership and management skills in individuals
working in community arts education in order to increase organizational
effectiveness. The curriculum for this intensive 13-day program focuses
upon teaching fundamental non-profit management skills within the framework
of the educational and artistic mission of a community school of the
arts, including: organizational development, resource development, community
school programming, marketing, financial management, personnel management
